Campaign

Over the next year we will campaign hard to make good design in our towns and cities a priority for decision makers. This year’s local government elections provide a valuable opportunity to raise the profile of these issues. At the national level you can make submissions and write to MPs to let them know why the shape our towns and cities should be important to them.

Why now?

This has to happen now because as a nation we are about to pour billions into new infrastructure development, we are looking at urban design and planning as part of current resource management reforms, and a single Auckland city is in the making. More than ever we have to pay closer attention to the decisions being made on the future shape of our towns and cities.

Here is what you can do to help.

  1. Write to/email your MP and local government representatives
  2. Follow and contribute to the debate on this website
  3. Encourage your friends to do the same
